The following provides a step-by-step guide on how a typical project progresses from start to finish with Skylight Translation:
The client sends the document(s) to be worked on (fully or partially) to Skylight Translation and states the service, the industry, the audience, the format, the number of words, the requested deadline, and the desired language (Canadian French or European French). If there are reference documents, it is ideal if they can be forwarded at this time, too. The more information provided at this stage allows for a more accurate quote and timelines. Quotes can be requested through a number of means, including an easy to submit online form.
Upon receipt of the above information, Skylight Translation will provide a free, non-obligation quote by email.
If the client and Skylight Translation agree on a deadline and pricing, clients will be asked to sign an agreement detailing the terms and obligations of both parties.
Clients must designate a resource person to address potential queries raised by Skylight Translation in order to complete the project. The resource person must be available for questions and follow-up. The role of this liaison is key as they can help ensure an accurately completed project in cases where the source text or reference documents need some clarification.
By the due date, clients will receive and review their completed project.
If required, edits and changes will be made by Skylight Translation. Please note that changes to the original source text or scope of the project at this point will likely incur additional charges
Payment is made by the client to Skylight Translation under initially agreed upon terms. Payment methods and online payments are available through the "Make a Payment" section of our website.
